  2. This is very nice helpful video, I'm 30years old, been working in newspaper industry as a graphic designer. I've been considering changing my path to somewhat better industry. But I have been always feeling some kind of resistance to it based on nothing. Maybe it's time to give it a shot. Do you think it isn't too late to learn how to code at 30yo.

  3. I was wondering how your role as a web developer is different from that of a software engineer working at the same company? Thanks and luv your videos!

  4. First off, thank you for this video… You have no idea how much it helped… I'd really like to ask a question, I am very proficient in HTML, CSS and vanilla Javascript, enough to manipulate the DOM and create loops through arrays and I am learning jQuery… What kind of opportunities do you think I should be focusing more on? I'd really appreciate a response.

P.S: Your attitude is so jovial… Love it. 😊😊

  5. Great video…studying code and my web dev classes have made me make peace with art in a way. This video was inspiring for me. Keep up the good work…nice backdrop and good overall presentation too!

  6. Hi.. loved this video not a lot of girls on YouTube to talk about web development. I'm about to start school but I don't know wat I should focus on cause I wanted to do web design and maybe later on try web development.. but if I'm eventually going to go for development maybe I should just do web development. Any advice??

  7. if someone starting right now .. its very hard to get a job as a html css jquery . in 2012 maybe you can.. but today you should know react or angular and also node.js or php + you need to know alot of other tools like git and webpack and ES6 you need to be fullstack and understand so much.. flexbox.. grid..i think it will take around 1 year or 2 years to get a job… compare to just few months 5 years ago. not to mention databas like mysql or mongo and also know ionic or react native.

  8. I'm about to graduate college but its now that i'm getting really interested in coding. I'll be honest, all the material that's out there is so intimidating, but I'm trying to take it one step at a time. I also enjoy your videos for motivation!

  9. Congrats girl, nice to see more women of color in this field. This is in dream job. Already knew html and css. Then i learned JavaScript, jquery, react, ajax and about apis. Now moving onto ruby on rails.

  10. Hey Girl, I loved your video! I'm from Brazil and I have 22 years old and iI'm starting to get interested in this area. I have an ex boyfriend who is formed in computer science and I always liked but never imagine this as a career. But I always used to do blogger templates when I was younger. But its hard to see womans in the Computer Science area, so thank you for your video and for showing that it is possible to work in an area dominated by men. Sorry for my such bad english, I'm terrible at writing. lol.
